PVC chamber strips are a popular solution for finishing windows, doors, and other building joinery elements. Made of high-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC), they are characterized by durability, resistance to moisture, varying weather conditions, and mechanical damage. Thanks to their chambered structure, the strips are lightweight while maintaining high rigidity and dimensional stability.PVC chamber strips serve not only an aesthetic function by masking gaps and joints, but also improve the insulation properties of windows and doors by minimizing heat loss and the penetration of external noise. These products are available in various shapes, sizes, and colours, allowing them to be matched to the style of the building – whether modern or traditional. The installation of PVC chamber strips is simple and quick, often requiring no specialized tools or skills. Many models are equipped with self-adhesive tape, which greatly facilitates installation. This material is also easy to maintain – no special cleaning agents are needed, and regular wiping with a damp cloth is enough to keep it looking neat for many years. Thanks to their properties and versatility, PVC chamber strips are a popular choice in both residential and commercial construction.

Plastic chamber strips are made of rigid PVC with a rectangular cross-section. Such PVC profiles are usually produced in several thicknesses: 5 mm, 7 mm, 15 mm. Available are strips with a so-called lip (edge) or without a lip.Chamber strips with lip for window finishing work well to mask minor plaster irregularities around the window. The shapes of chamber PVC profiles and the thicknesses of the chamber strips used to cover gaps between the window and the wall during installation depend on customer preferences and the experience of the installers. Thanks to their specific design, VARIO chamber strips can be used for more complex installations. They allow adjustment of the appropriate width by breaking off a piece of the strip at the narrowing. VARIO strips enable covering any angles between the window and the wall, as well as covering curves and arches.
Masking chamber strips are adhered to the window frame using double-sided self-adhesive tape. Installation of the strips with adhesive tape should be done at a minimum temperature of +10ºC (additionally, an appropriate mounting adhesive can be used for extra security). At these installation temperatures, it is especially important to allow for expansion gaps at both ends of the strip, as the strips will expand in summer with rising temperatures. Before applying the strip, the window frame must be degreased with a cleaner that will not damage the window profile. The strip should be shorter than the height or width of the frame. PVC strips expand as temperatures rise in summer and contract when temperatures drop in winter. Expansion gaps must always be used at both ends of the strip. It is most advisable to cut the strips at a right angle due to their expansion and contraction depending on temperature.Chamber strips are also produced in foil colours: Renolit, Hornschuch, Cova, LG. The same foils are used for window profiles. Chamber strips can be cut to the required dimensions for delivery to the customer.Finishing with PVC chamber profiles improves the aesthetics of the installed window and speeds up the finishing work.
